The C.S. trail can be accessed via a logging road off Highway 3B across from the Block Motel or from the Kootenay-Columbia summit. At its lowest elevation, this trail opens onto a wide pasture with a well-established dirt road. Head south along this road and climb gently back around K-C mountain along the mining school road. The total mountain bike loop from Rossland via the logging road and mining school road is 8km.

Overall, Coyote Swamp is the 13th most popular mountain bike trail of all 46 mountain biking rides in British Columbia.
