Kootenay-Columbia / Monte Cristo For Mountain Biking

The 9th most popular mountain bike trail in British Columbia.

Beginning at the corner of McLeod Ave. and Plewman Way, these moderately steep mountain bike climbs start off on a wide gravel road before splitting to either summit (both routes are 3.5km to the summits). A connecting trail just below the final switchback on Monte Cristo traverses to the saddle between the two mountains. Just short of the K-C summit is a connnector to the Coyote Swamp Trail.

Overall, Kootenay-Columbia / Monte Cristo is the 9th most popular mountain bike trail of all 46 mountain biking rides in British Columbia.
