Ganaraska Forest For Mountain Biking

Northeast of Toronto near Newcastle, the 11,000 acre Ganaraska Forest covers the Oak Ridges Morraine and has one of the most extensive biking trails in southern Ontario. A great 26 km route starts from the Ganaraska Forest Centre.

To reach mountain biking at the Centre from Oshawa, follow Route 401 east to Route 35/115. Head north to Kirby and then east onto Durham Road for 10 km to Kendal. Look for the road to the Centre on the north side.

Overall, Ganaraska Forest is the 9th most popular mountain bike trail of all 22 mountain biking rides in Ontario. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Ganaraska Forest including Etobicoke Creek Trails, Bruce Trail, Durham Forest and Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
