Haliburton Forest For Mountain Biking

Near West Guilford, the private 50,000 acres Haliburton Forest has over 300 km of trails. It is located just south of Algonquin Provincial Park. . Look out for moose, fox and black bear. Check out the Pass Trail, Lookout Trail and the Normac Trail. There is a $25 user fee. To reach mountain biking at the trailhead, follow Route 11 north to Route 118. Head east on Route 118 into West Guilford. Go north on CR7 toward Kennisis Lake for 15 km. The entrance is on the right. Trails run through dense Ontario wilderness with an extensive network of singletrak and logging roads. Some significant climbs (Views are worth it).Will experience every type of trail condition - Mud, rocks, hardpack, gravel etc.. Take along a swimsiut since there are hundreds of lakes along the trails.

Overall, Haliburton Forest is the 12th most popular mountain bike trail of all 22 mountain biking rides in Ontario.
