North of Liverpool between Ennerdale Bridge and Wasdale, the Black Sail Pass Circuit is a challenging 32 mile mountain bike trek through the remote Ennerdale Fell and Copeland Forest. The route combines bridleways and old forest roads.

The trailhead is located southwest of Carlisle and northeast of Egremont. Starting from the Broadmoor Forest car park in Ennerdale, proceed east-southeast along Ennerdale Water and the river. Just pass the Black Sail hut, head south over Black Sail Pass to Wasdale Head. Continue southwest along Wast Water. Before Wasdale Hall, follow singletrack west through Greendale and continue west-northwest on network of forest roads back to Ennerdale. Map Required.
