Near the town of Hayfield, the legendary Jacobs Ladder is a popularmountain bike route with the locals. The surrounding region has miles of blazed bridleways and trails. The tracks are rough, rocky and sandy. The best place to park is by the old railway station at the end of the Sett Valley Trail, just off A624, or at Edale near the station.
