Near Exmoor National Park, theres a great 38 km loop on singletrack bridleways through the Quantock Hills. After ascending to the summit, the ridge line trails offer nice vistas over the English Channel.

To reach the trailhead, follow M5 to Junction 24. Park off A39 at lay-by near Woodland Hills. The route meanders southeast up Quantock Combine towards the Slades. Then mountain bike ride straight northwest along Quantack Hills ridge line towards Quantox Head before dropping down Smiths Combe. Wind southeast on track back to the car park.

Overall, Quantock Hills is the 16th most popular mountain bike trail of all 93 mountain biking rides in UK.
