Southwest of Inverness, the 52 km Tomnavoulin Loop starts in the town of Tomintoul and requires heavy map usage. Ride west on A939, catch forest roads over to Bridge of Brown, north on forest roads along Avon River to bridge near Ballenlish. Continue east via meandering network of forest roads to Tomnavoulin. Proceed on southeast via forest road network looping southwest back towards Tomintoul.

Overall, Tomnavoulin Grand Circuit is the 43rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 93 mountain biking rides in UK.
