South of Anchorage and north of Cooper Landing on the Kenai Peninsula, the Resurrection Pass Trail System runs 38 miles and connnects the towns of Hope & Cooper Landing. The main trail is easy to moderate and the side trails are moderate to strenuous. The mountain bike trailhead is located 85 miles from Anchorage, just 4.5 miles south of Hope on Resurrection Creek Road, and provides access to the 72 miles system.

Open to hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling, the trail is a level path, gradual grade, some steep grade with switchbacks. Well maintained, may be muddy in places. Heavy snow in Resurrection Pass persists into late spring. Downed trees can impede travel in winter, spring and fall. Spectacular scenery. Spruce/aspen forests at lower elevations grading into the higher alpine tundra with wildflowers. Wildlife includes moose, black and brown bears, caribou, wolves, Dall sheep, mountain goats, ptarmigan, and grouse. Travel by snowmobile is difficult due to narrow trail entering and exiting all drainages on the trail between Caribou and East Creek. Trail is difficult to follow from East Creek to Resurrection Pass during/after heavy snowfall. Be prepared for rapid weather changes. Use caution with bear and moose.

Overall, Resurrection Pass Trail System is the 9th most popular mountain bike trail of all 26 mountain biking rides in Alaska. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Resurrection Pass Trail System including Devils Pass Trail, Russian Lakes, Primrose - Lost Lake Trail, Johnson Pass Trail and Cresent Lake Trail.
