Ester Dome Trails For Mountain Biking

Northwest of Fairbanks and north of Ester, the Ester Dome area has a nice trail network worth exploring.

A good trailhead is the Ester Community Park (near the fire station) on Sheep Creek Road. Continue riding north up Sheep Creek Road for three miles. Proceed left on Ester Dome Road. At the top of the hill, pick a trail of choice for themountain bike route back down.

Overall, Ester Dome Trails is the 3rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 26 mountain biking rides in Alaska. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Ester Dome Trails including Colorado Creek Trail, Four Mile Ridge Trail, Moose Creek Bluff Trail, O'Brien Creek Trail, Wickersham Creek Trail and Upper Fossil Creek TrailTrail Creek.
