South of Show Low in the White Mountains, the Buena Vista Trail (#637) is a wicked-fast jump-fest about 9 miles long (10.5 with the connector to the parking lot) and follows singletrack trail and old roads as it winds its way through the oak, pine, and manzanita. There are great views of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Baldy. There is a good technical climb (one of 7) to get the blood going, then its off to the races!
The access is from the junction of SR260/US60, go west on US60. Just after mile post 337, youll see a sign Entering the White Mountain Apache Reservation. Turn left before the sign on Forest Road 300 (Rim Road). The mountain bike trailhead is on the left.
Overall, Buena Vista is the 75th most popular mountain bike trail of all 103 mountain biking rides in Arizona.
