North of Sedona, the North Urban Trail System (aka Soldiers Pass & Secret Trails) is an interconnected series of trail along the base of the Secret Mountain Wilderness area red rocks. The trail system stretches from Dry Creek / Thunder Mountain roads in the west to the Jordan Road trailhead in the east. It links together the Thunder Mountain Trail, Teacup Trail, and Jordan Trail for a roughly 8 mile one-way route.
To reach mountain biking at the Thunder Mountain trailhead from uptown Sedona, follow SR89A west 3.5 miles to Dry Creek Road. Turn right heading north for 0.5 miles to Thunder Mountain Road. Turn right heading east for 0.6 miles to the trailhead parking on the left.
To reach mountain biking at the Jordan Road trailhead from uptown Sedona, follow Jordan Road north to its end. Turn left onto Park Ridge Drive for 0.4 miles to parking area.
Closer to the Jordan Road trailhead, the route crosses the Soldiers Pass area which has a mini-network of trails (Secret Trails) around a sink hole.
Overall, Soldiers Pass / Secret Trail is the 2nd most popular mountain bike trail of all 103 mountain biking rides in Arizona.
