Verde Hot Springs For Mountain Biking

Southeast of Camp Verde, the Verde Hot Springs trek is a rugged 25 mile one-way route with 3300 feet of vertical climbing. It passes through an area of high UFO activity.
The starting trailhead is located south of Camp Verde off US17 at Exit 268.
The ending trailhead is located southeast of Camp Verde at Verde Hot Springs. To reach Verde Hot Springs from Camp Verde, head east on SR260. At mile marker 228.5, turn right heading south on FS708 for 17 miles. Turn right heading southwest on FS502 for 5 miles to VHS.
The mountain bike ride starts out from US17 climbing gently east along FS68 (aka Dugas Ranch Road). Turn east on FS68G and then north on FS502. The last five miles are a challenging 3300 descend.
