Located near Jessieville in the Ouachita National Forest, the 1.6 million acre Ouachita National Forest reminds many of the Sawtooth Mountains. The ONF has 400 miles of trails with jagged climbs and descents through blackjack oak and butternut hickory forests. Trails include: East Loop of Bear Creek (12 mi.), Possum Kingdom Mountain Bike Loop (12 mi.); Attila The Hun (7.5mi); Wolf Pen Gap (60 mi.); Earthquake Ridge (5.5 mi.) and Cedar Lake Trail (25 mi.).
Overall, Ouachita National Forest is the 7th most popular mountain bike trail of all 14 mountain biking rides in Arkansas.
