In the Golden Gate National Recreation Area across the Bay from San Fran, there are two mountain bike singletracks through rolling hills which connect to form a figure-8: Coyote Ridge Trail (6 mi.) and Gerbode Valley Trail (8 mi.). Both are accessed from a trailhead parking area on Tennessee Valley Road which meets US101 north of Marin City.

Overall, Golden Gate National Recreation Area is the 67th most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California.
