Southeast of San Jose and northeast of Gilroy in the Henry Coe State Park, the Middle Ridge Loop is a 10 mile loop through the 80,000 acre Henry W Coe State Park. The terrain of the park is rugged, varied, and beautiful, with lofty ridges and steep canyons.

To reach the trailhead from San Jose, head south on US101 to Morgan Hill. Take the East Dunne Avenue exit and head east to park entrance about 13 miles.

The park has 100 miles of roads and trails that are open to mountain bikes. The rugged terrain offers a variety of riding options ranging from moderately difficult to extremely difficult. There are practically no easy trails for bikes.

Overall, Middle Ridge Trail is the 38th most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California.
