West of Telluride, the Wilson Mesa Trail (#421) runs 26 miles (3,600) from FS618 (south of Sawpit) east to the Illium / Galloping Goose Trail. Most mountain bike riders get dropped off on Falls Creek Road (FS618) and mountain bike ride the WMT east. Take a map since the route runs closely along the Lizard Head Wilderness boundary.
