South of Dillion, the Mayflower Gulch road accesses a beautiful mountain cirque dotted with cabins, mining relics and wildflower fields above 10,800. This is a 7 mile out and back route. To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Dillion, head west on US70 to Exit 195. Follow SR91 south for 5.8 miles and park on the left. Start riding on the dirt road at the end of the parking lot. Veer right at the junction and begin a steady climb along the right side of the gulch. At roughly 2.3 miles near the timberline, continue straight at a fork passing through the gate to the Boston townsite. At the alpine cirque, return by the same route.

Overall, Mayflower Gulch is the 60th most popular mountain bike trail of all 178 mountain biking rides in Colorado. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Mayflower Gulch including Colorado Trail - Searle / Kokomo Pass, Colorado Trail - Swan River Valley, Miners Creek Trail, Montezuma Loop Trail, Peru Creek and Tiger RoadWilliams Peak.
