Northwest of Ft. Lauderdale, the 667 acre Markham Regional Park hosts some of southern Floridas best riding with 5.5 miles of trails. NORBA races are held on the areas four miles of trails. To reach the mountain biking trailhead from US595, use 136th St. exit. Head west on SR84 for 2 miles. At Weston Road, look for park entrance on the right.

Overall, Markham Park is the 10th most popular mountain bike trail of all 58 mountain biking rides in Florida. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Markham Park including Oleta River State Park, Eagles View Multi-Use Trail System, Dyer Park, Everglade National Park and Fort Pierce Bike Trail.
