Bear Creek Trail For Mountain Biking

The 6th most popular mountain bike trail in Georgia.

Northwest of Ellijay in the Chattahoochee Forest, the Bear Creek Trail is a great 10 mile singletrack mountain bike loop along a nice stream through poplars.

To reach the Bear Creek trailhead from Ellijay, head west on SR52 to milepost 8 and proceed northwest on CR65 (a.k.a. FS90). At FS68, go north for 2 miles to parking area just past Barnes Creek Falls. The route starts out by following Barnes Creek Road east to the Bear Creek Trail.

Overall, Bear Creek Trail is the 6th most popular mountain bike trail of all 20 mountain biking rides in Georgia.
