Bull Mountain Trail For Mountain Biking

The 3rd most popular mountain bike trail in Georgia.

Northwest of Dahlonega in the Chattahoochee Forest, the Bull Mountain Trail is a 11 mile mountain bike loop with almost nine miles of singletrack through streams and rhododendron tunnels. To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Dahlongega, head west on SR52 for about 8 miles. Turn right heading north on Nimblewell Church Road for 2.3 miles. Turn right on FS28 heading north for 0.4 miles and then turn west on FS83 for 1.8 miles to trailhead. Note: Nimblewell Church Road may be closed due to a bridge out. In the interim, continue on SR52 for another 2 miles and turn right. This will take you to Nimblewell Church Road beyond the bridge.

From trailhead sign, head south on orange-blazed Bull Mountain Trail. At 4.5 miles, stay left on the Bare Hare Trail. After 4 more miles, stay left onto FS77A. Past another gate, turn right onto a rocky road. After 1.5 miles, turn right onto FS83 heading back to the car.

Overall, Bull Mountain Trail is the 3rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 20 mountain biking rides in Georgia.
