Winding Stair For Mountain Biking

Located northwest of Dahlonega, the Winding Stair route combines 20 miles of forest roads rolling along the states highest peaks. To reach mountain biking at the starting point from Dahlonega, follow US19 west to SR52. Head north on FS28 for 2.2 miles and park near junction with FS77. Start riding on FS28 north to FS42. Head west on FS42. Stay left and head down FS77 back to parking area.

Overall, Winding Stair is the 9th most popular mountain bike trail of all 20 mountain biking rides in Georgia.
