To get to the mountain bike trailhead for the Estler Lake Trail, follow US15 to the Apex exit north of Dillon. Follow Birch Creek Road past turnoff to NFS Dinner Station CG along Mute Creek road. This road ends 1 mile past the trailhead.

This 7.5 mile trail takes you to four of the most picturesque mountain lakes which offer good fishing possibilities and the chance of seeing a varied selection of wildlife. The takes are flanked by two 10,000 ft. peaks, Alturas No. 2 and Tent Mountains to the north.

Down to Minneopa is straight forward enough. Take the north end of the lake to meet Tent Lake after 1 mite. Back tract from here and take the southwest corner of Minneopa Lake to Estler 2 1/2 mites south. To the right is Boatmans Lake just behind an abandoned cabin.

Estler Lake is marked by 2 old cabins on its southern-most end. Behind it stands Baldy Mountain (20,568 ft.) with its abandoned fire look out on top. return the same way.

Overall, Estler Lake Trail is the 42nd most popular mountain bike trail of all 63 mountain biking rides in Idaho.
