Pear Lake Trail For Mountain Biking

The 48th most popular mountain bike trail in Idaho.

To get to the mountain bike trailhead for the Pear Lake Trail, follow US15 to the Apex exit north of Dillon. Follow Birch Creek road to turn off the Dinner Station Campground. The trail starts where a primitive road sign is situated across the small bridge and behind the new graveled parking area.

This 11 mile trail ends at Pear Lake a beautiful spot in the Eastern Pioneers which is totally enclosed by jagged 10,000 ft. peaks (Tent Mountain and Sawtooth Mountains). The trail actually is a jeep road. It crosses Birch Creek after 3 miles below the towering skree fields of 11,147 ft. Torrey mountain. A steep rocky clime follows for 1 mile then easier riding up past Boot Lake to Pear Lake with its breathtaking views.

Overall, Pear Lake Trail is the 48th most popular mountain bike trail of all 63 mountain biking rides in Idaho.
