East of Sun Valley up Coral Creek Road, the Corral Creek / Pioneer Cabin loop is a favorite, close to town mountain bike ride of local bikers, this leisurely loop is even gentle for beginners. Although it really starts at the paved bike path along Sun Valley Road from in town, it is recommended to drive to the Trail Creek Cabin parking area. Head east on the paved trail and after it ends, drop into NFS Boundary Creek C.G. and pick up the singletrack along the creek continuing northeast. At the intersection with Corral Creek Road (FS137), proceed east. Notice the singletrack running mid-ridge to the south; this track leads back to the parking area. It can be accessed via the next three trails to the right. Hard core mountain bike riders could take the third or even climb on to Pioneer Cabin first for a view of Hyndman Peak before hitting this singletrack. Follow the singletrack all the way back to the Trail Creek Cabin trailhead.
Back at the trailhead, if you are ready for more, try the 4 mile Proctor Mountain loop with 2,000 feet of vertical.
Overall, Corral Creek Loop is the 10th most popular mountain bike trail of all 63 mountain biking rides in Idaho. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Corral Creek Loop including Dinosaur Ridge, Adams Gulch, Galena Lodge Loop Trails, Red Warrior Creek Trail, Mahoney - Greenhorn Gulch and Placer/Castle Creek TrailQuigley Canyon Trail.
