Southwest of Louisville, the Otter Creek Park has the 9 mile Blue Trail that is through primitive park land along the Ohio River.

The park is accessible from Dixie Highway, just 14 miles south of the Gene Snyder Freeway. To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Louisville, follow US65 to Exit 125. Head west on the Gene Snyder Freeway (SR841). Take the Fort Knox Exit (Exit 1).Turn left at the stoplight. Follow this road (31W or Dixie Highway), for 13.5 miles, to Muldraugh KY. At the stoplight in Muldraugh, turn right onto KY Highway 1638 and continue to Otter Creek Park

Overall, Otter Creek Park is the 2nd most popular mountain bike trail of all 15 mountain biking rides in Kentucky.
