Southwest of Boston and Foxboro, the 1,000 acre F. Gilbert Hills State Forest has 8.2 miles of rocky, narrow, and challenging bike trails.
To reach mountain biking at the F. Gilbert Hills State Forest from Boston, head south on US95 to Exit 7. Follow SR140 north and then 3/4 around common, bear right onto South Street. Turn right onto Mill Street and follow the signs.
Overall, F. Gilbert Hills State Forest is the 18th most popular mountain bike trail of all 35 mountain biking rides in Massachusetts. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby F.
