On the Upper Peninsula south of Marquette in the Escanaba River State Forest, the 26 mile Bass Lake Trail is a great singletrack through desolate forest near inland lakes. The mountain bike trailhead is located on Crooked Lake Road off SR35.

Overall, Bass Lake Trail is the 5th most popular mountain bike trail of all 37 mountain biking rides in Michigan.
