On the Upper Peninsula, a 118 mile section of the NCT passes through the ONF. Themountain bike route crosses the northern section of forest from Sturgeon River in the east to Black River in the west.

Overall, North Country Trail is the 19th most popular mountain bike trail of all 37 mountain biking rides in Michigan.
