Pines and Mines - Ehlco Mountain Bike Complex

The 14th most popular mountain bike trail in Michigan.

On the Upper Peninsula north of Bergland and south of Silver City, the 27 mile Ehlco Mountain Bike Complex takes riders deep into the heart of a northern hardwood forest on roads and closed overgrown logging roads. On these blue-blazed routes adjacent to Porcupine Mountains State Park, plan to get wet & muddy on the clay and sand tracks! Dont forget to wipe the grime from your eyes occasionally to check out the northern hardwoods, aspens and white pines along the Big Iron River. While the North Country Trail passes through the area, it may be designated hiker-only.

To reach the trailhead from Ironwood, follow US 2 east to Wakefield. Head north on CR519 for 17 miles. Proceed east on South Boundary Road for 14 miles to Summit Peak Road. Turn left to parking area (inside Porcupine Mountains State Park).

Overall, Pines and Mines - Ehlco Mountain Bike Complex is the 14th most popular mountain bike trail of all 37 mountain biking rides in Michigan.
