West of Whitefish in the Flathead National Forest, the Tally Lake area is a local favorite for mountain biking. The Reid Divide Trail (#800) is a popular route starting near Tally Mountain (5,300) that runs southwest for over 12 miles).

Overall, Tally Lake is the 16th most popular mountain bike trail of all 32 mountain biking rides in Montana.
