Mount Marston Trail System For Mountain Biking
The 7th most popular mountain bike trail in Montana.

North of Whitefish near Stryker, there are variety of mountain bike trails descending from the Mount Marston lookout. The Lookout offers panoramic views of the Tobacco Valley and snow-covered peaks of Glacier National Park.
To get to the lookout from NFS Murphy Lake Campground, head south on US93 for about 6 miles. Turn left heading east onto a wide Forest Service road along Stillwater Creek towards Loon Echo Resort. After roughly 8 miles, look for 4WD road heading northeast up North Fork Creek. Continue along 4WDmountain bike track for 3 miles to reach FS3797. Proceed west on FS3797 for 4 miles and turn right onto FS900 leading up to the Mount Marston Summit.
From the summit, there are three routes down: Laughing Water Creek Trail (#98(#198?)/5.5mi./3500); Patrick Ridge Trail (#860/7.5mi./2900 ); and Mt. Marston Trail (#361/9mi./3200). All three routes eventually end up down at US93.
Also, the Groves Creek/Mount Marston Trail System developed for snowmobiling passes through the Flathead valley and Whitefish Mountain Range. A map is available from the Flathead Snowmobile Association at (406) 756-6139.
Overall, Mount Marston Trail System is the 7th most popular mountain bike trail of all 32 mountain biking rides in Montana.
