West of Conway, the 10 mile Nanamacomuck Trail is a moderately challenging mountain bike route through the Whites. The Lower Nanamacomuck (aka IMBA Nan Epic) is very easty to find and follow, it parrallels the Swift river after 7 miles of rolling single track the trail ends at the covered bridge campground on the Kancamaugus Highway. The upper Nanamacomuck accesses some of the best riding in the White Mountains. Many loops leave and come back onto the upper Nank.
To reach the mountain biking trailhead from North Conway, head west on the Kancamaugus Highway (SR16) for about 6 miles to the Albany Covered Bridge parking lot.
An excellent map is available at the Saco Ranger District headquarters.
Overall, Nanamacomuck Trail is the 3rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 24 mountain biking rides in New Hampshire. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Nanamacomuck Trail including Hastings Trail, Rob Brook Trails and North Conway Trails.
