Paulinskill Valley Trail For Mountain Biking

The 10th most popular mountain bike trail in New Jersey.

Northwest of Dover near Andover in Kittatinny Valley State Park, the Paulinskill Valley Trail is a 27 mile mountain biking. The trail travels through rural landscapes, northern deciduous forests and wetlands and towns in Warren and Sussex counties. At one point, it cuts under the majestic Hainesburg Viaduct, which was once part of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad system.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from US80, head north on SR94 for one mile. Turn right on Brugler Road. Turn right on Warrington Road crossing the Paulinskill River. The small parking area is on the left.

To reach an alternate parking area from US80, head north on SR206 for approximately 7 miles to Andover Borough and turn right onto County Route 669 (Limecrest Road). Park entrance is 1.1 miles ahead on the left. The trail is accessible from Footbridge Lane.

The Paulinskill Valley Trail follows the abandoned New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railroad right-of-way for 27 miles, beginning at Sparta Junction in Sussex County and terminating between Hainesburg and Columbia in Warren County. Mileage information is provided below:
