Sourland Mountain Preserve For Mountain Biking
The 8th most popular mountain bike trail in New Jersey.

North of Trenton and west of Hillsborough in Somerset County, the 2,835 acre Sourland Mountain Preserve has 10 miles of mountain biking trails shared by hikers and bikers. There are three main trails.
The Ridge Trail is a moderate 4 mile rollingmountain bike route with some switchbacks. It is blazed with squares.
The Maple Flats Trail is an easy, flat 1.4 mile route. It is blazed with triangles.
The Pondside Trail is an easy 0.5 mile route. It is blazed with circles.
The Sourland Mountain Preserve is accessible from East Mountain Road. The Preserve occupies a portion of the northeast “point” of the Sourland Region, which stretches southwest across Hillsborough and Montgomery Townships through southern Hunterdon and northern Mercer counties to the Delaware River.
Overall, Sourland Mountain Preserve is the 8th most popular mountain bike trail of all 24 mountain biking rides in New Jersey.
