Cabezon Trail For Mountain Biking

Within the Cabezon Wilderness Study Area is a large network of dirt roads over mesas and rolling hills about a volcanic plug that are open to mountain biking. The Cabezon Trail is a 30 mile long trail.

The mountain bike trailhead for the Cabezon Trail is located near San Ysidro and San Luis.

Overall, Cabezon Trail is the 15th most popular mountain bike trail of all 53 mountain biking rides in New Mexico. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Cabezon Trail including Cibola National Forest, Baylor Pass National Recreation Trail, Tent Rocks Trail, Sandia Peak Ski Area and Four Hills Trail.
