Allegany State Park For Mountain Biking

South of Buffalo and Ellicottville near Salamanca, the 65,000 acre Allegheny State Park has 24 miles trails open to biking. These trails are excellent for cross country mountain biking on rolling terrain.
To reach the trailhead from US86, use Exit 21. Head south on Parkway Drive (Park Ave. or Route 1). There are trailheads located at 3 miles and 6 miles.
Overall, Allegany State Park is the 8th most popular mountain bike trail of all 48 mountain biking rides in New York. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Allegany State Park including Holiday Valley and Chautauqua Rails-To-Trails.
