P1 Trail For Mountain Biking

The 3rd most popular mountain bike trail in Ohio.

North of Columbus near Delaware in the Alum Creek State Park, the winding P1 trail is an intermediate six mile mountain bike loop. The trail wind along the lakeshore through mature beech-maple forests and across deep ravines. It is best ridden counter-clockwise.

To reach the P1 mountain biking trailhead from US71, exit on Polaris Parkway. Follow Polaris Parkway to the second left for Africa Road. Follow Africa Road back under US71 and continue past Big Walnut Road. Turn right on CR106 (aka Lewis Center Road). The trailhead parking is on the left.

Tip: The P1 Trail is closed from March 1st through May 15th for erosion control.

Overall, P1 Trail is the 3rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 24 mountain biking rides in Ohio.
