Southwest of Jim Thorpe, the Twin Peaks Loop is a 20 mile mountain bike route with 1,300 feet of climbing.
This is a challenging loop begins at the Railroad Station in Jim Thorpe. It ascends Flagstaff Mountain and proceeds along the Mauch Chunk Ridge via the Fireline Trail to a powerline at the start of Mauch Chunk Lake. Descend down to the lake and then continue along Lentz Trail Highway to Mauch Chunk Lake Park. Turn onto the Switchback Trail and ascent to the Mount Pisgah summit.
Overall, Twin Peaks Loop is the 6th most popular mountain bike trail of all 75 mountain biking rides in Pennsylvania.
