Horn Creek Trail For Mountain Biking

The 7th most popular mountain bike trail in South Carolina.

Northeast of Augusta and southeast of Modoc in the Sumter National Forest, the Horn Creek Trail (5.7 mi.) is a fast wide singletrack traveling through hardwood bottoms, across streams and along pine ridges.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Augusta, head north on US221 (SR28) to Modoc. In Modoc, turn right heading east on SR23. Cross over Modoc Bridge and turn right heading south on SR230. After 0.5 miles, turn left on CR263 (FS 634). Follow signs and park at entrance of Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area.

Overall, Horn Creek Trail is the 7th most popular mountain bike trail of all 16 mountain biking rides in South Carolina.
