East of Dallas and north of Tyler, the Tyler State Park has four singletrack loops totaling 9 miles through hardwood and pine forests. This is some of the finest riding in northeast Texas. Watch out for armadillos! To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Dallas, head east on US20 for 80 miles. Use exit for SR14 and proceed north for 2.2 miles to the TSP entrance.

Overall, Tyler Trail is the 9th most popular mountain bike trail of all 59 mountain biking rides in Texas. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Tyler Trail including LBJ National Grasslands, DORBA Trail, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Rowlett Creek Trail and Northshore TrailBonham State Park.
