In the 337,600 acre Canyonlands National Park, the Blue Mountain Boogie is a 50 miles backcountry off-road loop with 5000 feet vertical, mostly mountain bike singletrack. Head south from Moab on SR 211 for 60 miles -> At Needles District park entrance, park at Newspaper Rock -> backtrack on pavement 2 miles to recently paved Harts Draw Road leading up into Blue Mountains -> head east after 10 miles on Dalton Springs Road -> after 2 miles in Monticello, take FS079 for 8 miles over Jackson Ridge -> Jackson Ridge Road west for less than 2 miles -> look keenly for Shay Ridge Trail on right (trail markers) -> 22 miles 4000 foot descent back to car on trail.

Overall, Blue Mountain Boogie is the 37th most popular mountain bike trail of all 73 mountain biking rides in Utah. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Blue Mountain Boogie including White Rim Trail, Klondike Bluffs Trail, Kokopelli Trail, Slickrock Bike Trail, Poison Spider Trail and Whole EnchiladaPorcupine Rim Trail.
