In the northeast corner of the state, the Kingdom Trails is the name that locals have given their ambitious project to link together hundreds of miles of logging roads and singletrack throughout the Northeast Kingdom. The local mountian bike association has created an epic network of singletrack throughout the region and across Burke Mountain.

The best riding starts in East Burke, which is reached from Exit #23 of US91. Park at East Burke Sports. Check out the J-Bar Trail for a big 2,000 foot descent off Burke Mountain. Also, make sure to explore the Sidewider and the Kitchel trails.

After a long day of riding, try cooling down at Mike’s Tiki Bar in Burke village.

Overall, Northeast Kingdom Trails is the 1st most popular mountain bike trail of all 16 mountain biking rides in Vermont.
