Near Winthrop and east of Twisp, the Lightning Creek Trail is a 16 mile loop (2700) consists of half singletrack on the LCT (#425) and half jeep roads (FS4225/4230/190/4235).

To reach mountain biking at the trailhead, from Twisp head east on SR20. Proceed north on Beaver Creek Road and bear left on FS200. Park 0.4 miles ahead where the LCT crosses.

Overall, Lightning Creek Trail is the 15th most popular mountain bike trail of all 59 mountain biking rides in Washington. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Lightning Creek Trail including Methow Valley Trail Systems and Twisp River Trail.
