Twisp River Trail For Mountain Biking
The 14th most popular mountain bike trail in Washington.

Near Winthrop and west of Twisp, the Twisp River Trail is 13 mile loop consists of half singletrack on the TRT (#440) and half jeep road on FS4440. The route runs between Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness boundaries. The singletrack rolls along a forested hillside with beautiful spring wildflowers.
To reach mountain biking at the trailhead, from Twisp head west on SR20. Turn west onto FS44 (Twisp River Road) for 23 miles and park where the TRT crosses. Start riding northeast on FS4440 for 6.5 miles and return via the TRT.
Overall, Twisp River Trail is the 14th most popular mountain bike trail of all 59 mountain biking rides in Washington. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Twisp River Trail including Lightning Creek Trail and Methow Valley Trail Systems.
