East of Morgantown, the 12,700 acre Coopersrock State Forest has 50 miles of rocky, diverse, challenging and gnarly trails including Scotts Run, Rock City, Ravens Rock, and Rhododendron Trail. The mountain bike rides run through dense, rolling forests with rhododendron and mountain laurel.
To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Morgantown, head east on US68 to Exit 15. Turn left heading south and follow signs. Trail maps availalble at gift shop.
Overall, Coopersrock State Forest is the 1st most popular mountain bike trail of all 32 mountain biking rides in West Virginia.
