Near Valley Head in the Monongahela National Foresthe Cheat Mountain Club Loop Loop (17 mi./1000) combines grassy trails with forest services roads.
To reach mountain biking at the trailhead, from Elkins head south on US250 through Huttonsville to Cheat Bridge. Turn south onto FS235 towards the Cheat Mountain Club parking area.
