Northeast of Lewisburg near Neola in the Monongahela National Forest, a 17 mile loop can be formed by combining the Allegheny Trail (#701/7.6 mi./1600) with FS888 starting from NFS Lake Sherwood Campground.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from US64, head north from White Sulfur Springs on SR92 for 30+ miles. Head east on CR14 and north on FS888 to the campground. The trail runs south west off FS888 and paralel to CR 14.

Overall, Allegheny Trail is the 17th most popular mountain bike trail of all 32 mountain biking rides in West Virginia.
