Meadow Valley / Gold Mine Loop For Mountain Biking

The 4th most popular mountain bike trail in Wisconsin.

Near Dodgeville in Iowa County of southwestern Wisconsin, the 5,000 acre Governor Dodge State Park has trails winding through narrow gorges past soaring rock sculptures of limestones and sandstones. Get ready for steep hills, bluffs, deep valleys, oak-hickory woods and a waterfall.

The park provides 10 miles of challenging off-road bicycle trails. You may also access the 39-mile Military Ridge bicycle trail from the park's trails.

The Meadow Valley / Gold Mine Loop is 7 miles of hardpacked track with green and white blazes. The mountain bike trailhead is located at Cox Hollow Beach about 5 miles north of Dodgeville.

Overall, Meadow Valley / Gold Mine Loop is the 4th most popular mountain bike trail of all 20 mountain biking rides in Wisconsin.
