Yellow River State Forest For Mountain Biking

Near Marquette in northwest Iowa, the 8,500 acre Yellow River State Forest has over 10 miles of bike trails that meander through oak-hickory forest rife with wild turkeys, deer, Coopers hawks, and woodchucks and leads to big views of the Paint Creek Valley.
To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Marquette, on the Mississippi, drive 12 miles north on SR 76, turn right on CR B25, and drive four miles to forest headquarters.
Overall, Yellow River State Forest is the 3rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 10 mountain biking rides in Iowa.
